WEDO at (le) poisson rouge…
9 February 2013

NPR has released a video of a concert given by WEDO members at New York club venue Le poisson rouge the night before their Carnegie Hall Beethoven cycle began. The programme included Michael Barenboim playing Boulez’s Anthèmes I; a movement of the Bartók Contrasts with Barenboim père, fils, and clarinettist Kinan Azmeh; Azmeh playing his own Prayer – A Tribute to Edward Said; and the Mendelssohn Octet.
